Job Title: Sales Project Manager - Architectural Components
Job Overview:
We are seeking a driven Sales Project Manager to join our Architectural Building Components division. This role focuses on building and managing relationships with clients, overseeing project bids, and ensuring the successful execution of projects from start to finish. Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain relationships with new and existing clients.
- Project management: including job take-offs, bids, and pricing.
- Lead the project process, from obtaining purchase orders (POs) to completing submittals, tracking job progress, managing revisions and resubmittals.
- Collaborate with manufacturers to place orders, ensuring timely delivery of materials.
- Create room schedules and submittals for contractor and engineer review.
- Conduct site surveys and attend meetings as needed to troubleshoot project issues.
- Work closely with the internal sales team to ensure projects align with plans, specifications, and contracts.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in sales, project management, or a related field within the construction industry.
- Strong ability to read construction drawings, blueprints, and other documents.
- Proficient in project management tools, including Microsoft Excel and Bluebeam.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems and their components is a strong preference.
- Schedule: This position is primarily located out of our HQ in Ferndale, MI and is assigned on-site Monday – Friday, 8:00AM-4:00PM, scheduling.
- Ability to travel as assigned (SE Michigan) and work autonomously, managing projects from bid to completion with minimal oversight.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- An associate’s degree in construction management or a related field is preferred.
