Two Local HVAC companies are partnering together to look for a Safety Manager to join their team. This person will spilt their time between the two companies (located in Gaithersburg, MD and Chantilly, VA) and manage their safety concerns. The Safety Manager is the main point of contact for all injuries, accidents and workers compensation incidents. An organized person who can manage keeping up to date certifications and injury logs. We’re looking for someone who is excited about safety and has strong people skills.
Safety Manager Job Responsibilities:
- Plans, implements, and conducts preventative care, and safety.
- Plans, implements, manages, and maintains comprehensive environmental safety & health programs on premises or at project site locations.
- Collaborates with management to develop an Emergency Action Plan.
- Serve as primary contact for job site injury and incident notification, investigation, case management and preventative measures.
- Maintains a written log of safety inspection activities, reports, and correspondence.
- Evaluate project details to ensure adherence to environmental regulations.
- Conduct or coordinate worker training in areas such as safety laws and regulations, hazardous condition monitoring, use of safety equipment, etc.….
- Maintain and apply knowledge of current policies, regulations, and industrial processes.
- Recommend procedures for detection, prevention, and elimination of physical, chemical, or other product hazards.
- Conducts safety meetings, audits, and inspections to ensure compliance, evaluate performance, identify corrective action, and implement follow up assessments.
- Provides regular on-site project presence.
Experience / Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Health, Engineering or related discipline; or at least 4 years management level safety profession experience.
- Current certifications and an in-depth knowledge of First Aid, CPR, EPA OSHA, 30-hour Construction Safety and Industry Standards.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
