Job Opening - HVAC Service Technician
We currently have an open position for a HVAC Technician to help us better serve our customers. We are located in Denver, CO servicing residential customers in the Denver Metro and surrounding areas.
We are looking for a skilled individual with HVAC experience that can leverage their knowledge and experience to lead a team of installers.
This position is responsible for installing, servicing, repairing, and maintaining residential HVAC systems. The ideal candidate must be self-motivated, customer-focused, detail oriented, and able to work with a team to successfully complete a project. It is important to be experienced at handling, installing, and fixing HVAC equipment.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
· Complete all demand and non-demand HVAC in-home service calls
· Establish customer rapport and provide the right products and solutions.
· Ability to accurately troubleshoot and repair HVAC equipment.
· Ask proper lifestyle questions to troubleshoot heating and cooling system malfunctions.
· Articulate repair and/or replacement opportunities for aging, inefficient or underperforming systems and refer qualified replacement leads to Sales Team.
· Understand service criteria and be accountable for exceeding revenue goals.
· Properly and efficiently document all calls/jobs to the company's requirements.
· Work alongside Customer Service and Dispatch to ensure overall success of the business.
· Responsible for a company work vehicle, parts inventory, and equipment assigned to the company work vehicle. The installer has complete responsibility for the vehicle.
· Perform all work to industry standards and maintains a professional manner and appearance at all times.
· Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agencies, and company directives as related to building operations and practices safe work habits.
· Show up on time for calls and training meetings.
· Train and mentor apprentices to ensure timely, accurate repairs and installations.
· Establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates.
· Present ideas effectively, both orally and in writing.
· Educate and assist customers in choosing the best financing options and maintenance plans.
Job Requirements
· Excellent customer service, organization, and communication skills
· 1+ years of experience in the HVAC field
· Strong work ethic and self motivated
· Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of electrical systems (including switches, motors, etc.).
· Ability to read and understand technical documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. In-depth knowledge of applicable state and federal regulations regarding HVAC is a plus.
· Valid drivers license and clean driving record
· EPA Certification
· NATE preferred but not required
· Ability to utilize computer, smart phone and/or iPad for interaction with sales system. Service Titan Experience a plus!
· Clean appearance
· Timely and dependable
· Employee must provide their own tools
· Boiler Experience is a plus
· May be subject to drug testing and/or background check.
