We are looking for an experienced commercial HVAC Installer to join our team. We are a 68-year-old business with long-standing institutional (schools & churches) customers in the New Orleans area. Key Responsibilities:

Familiar with sheet metal ductwork assembly (cutting and insulation)
Installation of double wall spiral pipe using internal and external couplings· Cutting holes in rectangular ductwork to receive spin-ins and starting collars· Ability to cut flexible duct and install with plastic or metal straps Lay out location of hangers and supports for AHUs, VAV boxes, heat recovery boxes, etc. Field measurements for duct fittings, offsets, risers, transitions
Communicate with shop personnel for fabrication
· Install grilles, registers, diffusers, turning vanes, louvers, exhaust fans
· Solder copper pipe using 15% silver solder and roll soft solder
· Purge copper during soldering and leak test
· Evacuate A/C Systems
· Install Condensate drain lines
· Install and wire basic low voltage devices including but not limited to thermostats, duct mounted smoke detectors, emergency pan float switches, condensing units, fan coils
· Charge residential A/C systems using sub-cooling and superheat methods
· Read and understand mechanical drawings
Desired Experience:
· 3 years in HVAC service & maintenance
Education:
- High school or equivalent. Graduate of HVAC Trade School preferred.
License/Certification:
- EPA License
- Driver's License (Required)

Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour
