The POSITION:
The HVAC Technician is responsible for supporting the maintenance, operations, and logistics of portable HVAC units to support all projects for National Structures and Event Services.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, can work independently, and responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in commercial settings. Mechanical experience with diesel engine generators is a HUGE plus!
Main Responsibilities of the HVAC Technician:
- Inspect and perform on-site routine maintenance on portable commercial systems
- Troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing HVAC system issues
- Perform preventative maintenance on portable commercial systems, including but not limited to 20- and 30-tons commercial units.
- Installs and operates diesel generators including minor repairs and services
- Repairs and services diesel generators
- Effective troubleshooting and problem solving of service issues with generator and HVAC components using critical thinking skills
- Maintain strong customer relations and thorough communication with customers at all times.
- Ensure all work is carried out efficiently and in accordance with industry standards
- Work with a team mentality, and a get it done attitude
- Communicate regularly and thoroughly with Co-workers
- Provide excellent customer service while on-site
Basic Qualifications of the HVAC Technician:
- Understanding of HVAC system design principles
- Proficient in HVAC systems installation, maintenance, and repair
- Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting system issues
Requirements of the HVAC Technician:
- HVAC certification
- Minimum of 5 year service industry experience within commercial HVAC equipment repair and service.
- Understanding of electrical and mechanical equipment relating to working and functions of portable air condition systems
- Monday – Friday schedule with requirement of some Saturdays; on call at least 1 weekend/month
- Willingness to travel regionally, up to 50 % of time
- Valid Driver's License for transportation to job sites
- Lift, carry, push, pull equipment regularly
- Lift up to 40 lbs.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
