Job Overview:
the Outside Sales Representative & Collections Agent is primarily responsible for generating new business and expanding Reliant Plumbing’s client base through proactive sales efforts. This role involves building relationships with prospective and existing clients, negotiating contracts, and driving revenue growth. In addition to sales, the representative is responsible for ensuring outstanding accounts are addressed by completing collections tasks as required, ensuring minimal accounts receivable for the company.
Key Responsibilities:
In this role, the Outside Sales Representative & Collections Agent will:
- Sales Responsibilities (Primary Focus):
- Identify new sales opportunities and generate leads for Reliant Plumbing’s services.
- Visit potential and existing clients to present services, assess needs, and negotiate contracts.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers to drive repeat business.
- Meet or exceed sales targets by consistently developing new business.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure service delivery meets client expectations.
- Regularly report on sales activity, pipeline development, and revenue forecasts to management.
- Collections Responsibilities (Secondary Focus):
- Contact customers via phone regarding delinquent or charge-off accounts.
- Negotiate repayment plans or settlements in line with company policies and applicable laws, including compliance with the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and state regulations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer interactions and account statuses.
- Investigate and track customer information using online skip-tracing tools to locate customers with outstanding balances.
- Complete collections tasks as needed to meet performance goals related to accounts receivable.

- Minimal physical risk, with no exposure to hazardous conditions.
Education:
- High school diploma required.
- Some college coursework preferred.
Experience:
- Proven experience in outside sales, business development, or a similar role is required.
- Prior experience in collections, billing, or customer service preferred.
- Familiarity with insurance Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) and third-party payor procedures is a plus.
- High level of computer proficiency is required.
Physical Demands:
- The role involves a combination of desk-based work and travel for client visits, with some periods of extended sitting and driving.
- Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds occasionally.
- Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to input data quickly and accurately are essential.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
