Respected sales rep firm established in 1980 is seeking a self-motivated, hard-working individual who can maintain long standing relationships servicing large food service equipment dealers and consultants as well as develop new relationships with institutional food service directors, architects and construction managers.
Call on an established clientele with proven sales history specifying products provided by 18 represented manufacturers of commercial food service and ventilation equipment in the southwestern Michigan/northern Indiana territory, including the cities of Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo, South Bend and Valparaiso. You will be home most nights as factory trainings, trade shows, etc. are minimal. We want you in your territory selling our products and making money!
We provide laptop, expense reimbursement, mileage reimbursement allowance, medical/dental/retirement package, PTO and a customer support team second to none! Training will be conducted in the Indianapolis, Indiana area home office and various manufacturer’s facilities as required. Salary consists of bi-monthly neogotiated draw paid against quarterly commission. A strong background in ventilation/mechanical engineering/commercial HVAC and/or commercial food service equipment sales experience preferred. Individual will be required to promote commercial kitchen/restaurant cooking, storage, refrigeration and furniture products. Candidate should possess strong written and oral communication skills and a working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office365 and Outlook.
Associates Degree in Business Administration or Work Equivalent is preferred. Annual Draw compensation is based on current territory volume and negotiable with industry experience. Territory has potential of a low six -figure annual draw/commission salary with dedication and a strong work ethic.
Position requires that individual live in the southwestern Michigan or northern Indiana region. Moving expenses are negotiable.
Duties:
- Develop new business opportunities by identifying and contacting potential clients
- Build and maintain relationships with existing clients to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations to prospective clients, highlighting the benefits and features of our manufacturers products
- Negotiate contracts and pricing with clients to maximize sales revenue
- Collaborate with internal teams such as marketing, product development, and customer support to ensure seamless customer experience
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to identify potential areas for growth
Skills:
-Proven experience in sales or business development, preferably in commericial kitchen equipment and kitchen design
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to close deals and meet sales targets
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients
- Ability to effectively present information and respond promptly to clients needs
- Self-motivated with a results-driven approach to achieve sales goals
- Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with cross-functional teams
