Facility Manager

Accelsius is looking for a Facility Manger to lead the establishment of building maintenance, utility service, equipment, and processes in advance of rapid growth. This position will report directly to the Operations Engineering Director and the right candidate will have strong thought leadership, execution and influencing skills alongside applicable experience.
Role Responsibilities:
- Establish building, utility & facility support and maintenance processes for pilot line and/or full manufacturing lines to meet product needs & objectives.
- Maintain, repair, & servicing of existing building/utility assets or leases.
- Establish and monitor performance for building or facility maintenance, repairs, or service contracts.
- Maintain and report key performance indices on support utility and facility operations.
- Create and maintain a facility budget and annual spend forecasts for facility operations.
- Lead the design, modeling, and implementation of facility portion of site selection, layout for utility equipment, facility areas tools, etc., for next dedicated manufacturing facility.
- Collaborate with Safety, Production, Quality, Product Engineering, and Process teams to ensure smooth delivery of products and mitigation of any potential risks or disruptions.
- Implement security measures to protect the office premises, employees and assets.
- Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards promoting a culture of safety throughout building, facility, and manufacturing operations.
- Implement environmental, health and safety procedures in line with all applicable laws and regulations and promote environmental sustainability and common-sense health practices within the facilities.
- Manage support contracts with facility maintenance vendors and service providers in partnership with the Procurement team.
- Build and lead problem solving teams as needed and/or participate in cross-functional teams on key performance objective improvements.
Qualifications for this role include:
- Broad facility & utility management experience with progressively increasing responsibility
- Demonstrated strategic, tactical, and diverse thought leadership
- Leading/managing through ambiguity and rapid changes
- Knowledge in facility utilities and systems including, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, process cooling water, compressed air, exhaust systems, and waste management
- Experience establishing performance management systems for campus buildings, utilities, facilities support equipment and processes.
- Strong background in facility lean manufacturing principles, support process optimization and continuous improvement methodologies
- Excellent leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Knowledge of industry regulations and standards related to building & facility operations
- Bachelor degree in construction, engineering, operations or related field
- Company, area, or new capacity startup experience a plus
- Must bring curiosity, a willingness to be hands-on, professionalism, a positive attitude and a focus on problem solving to the role
