We are looking to hire a motivated, detail-oriented residential service technician to install, maintain and repair HVAC systems. The residential service technician will be skilled in cleaning, adjusting, and repairing systems.
You will guide and advise the customer to select the most appropriate air quality system to fulfill their requirements. You will be responsible for air quality systems from installation to end-of-life by performing maintenance, warranty, and emergency repairs.
To be successful in this role, customer satisfaction, safety, and comfort should be your top priority. Ideal candidates will be patient and have excellent organizational and troubleshooting skills.
Requirements:
- 3+ year experience as an HVAC technician, and willing to continue education in the HVAC field.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Understanding of advanced principles of air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating.
- Working knowledge of boiler systems.
- Proficient in balancing air and water treatment systems in line with HVAC protocols.
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in reading schematics and work plans.
- Ability to work after hours, over weekends, and on public holidays with short or no notice.
- Ability to work in confined spaces.
Responsibilities:
- Work independently and as part of a team in the repair and installation of HVAC systems.
- Follow safety and environmental protocol regarding the use of chemicals and equipment.
- Transports a variety of tools, equipment, and supplies for the purpose of ensuring the availability of materials required at the job site.
- Participates in meetings, workshops, training, and seminars, as assigned for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform job functions.
- Record data (e.g. repair status, activity logs, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities and/or conveying information. Keeping daily logs and records of all maintenance functions.
- Repairs heating and air conditioning systems and/or components (e.g. pumps, motors, air handlers, fan coils, piping, etc.)
- Follow instructions, use standard measurement devices, and maintain accurate records to ensure the accuracy of the work performed.
- Perform work at great heights; frequently lifts 10–25 pounds.
- Installs heating and air conditioning equipment and systems for the purpose of providing enhanced and/or upgraded capabilities.
- Identifying maintenance risks on equipment.
- Cleaning, adjusting, and repairing systems, and performing warranty services.
- Performing emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.
- Providing technical direction and on-the-job training.
- Ensuring compliance with appliance standards and with Occupational Health and Safety Act.
- Complying with service standards, work instructions, and customers' requirements.
- Assisting with customers' queries.

Pay: $30.00 - $60.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
