Imperial Pools, Inc., is the industry’s largest privately owned package pool manufacturer and full line distributor of swimming pool products. Over our 60 year history, we market some of the best known brands, product lines and programs in the industry today. We are currently looking to hire a new Branch Manager in our Whitestown, Indiana distribution branch.
This is a fast-paced, highly rewarding, career opportunity that requires a motivated individual with excellent leadership abilities, communication skills, solid time management, organizational skills and a strong work ethic. The primary responsibility of a branch manager is to maintain a safe and efficient distribution branch while working to increase profitability through load management and increased sales. The branch manager oversees a team of inside sales people and warehouse operations. Proficiency in using Microsoft office applications is required. Familiarity with Profit 21 is a plus but willing to train the right applicant. Minimum of an associates degree or 4 years relevant work experience required.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the overall operations of the branch, ensuring efficient and effective functioning
- Supervise and provide guidance to branch staff, including training, coaching, and performance management
- Open and close branch daily (8 AM to 5 PM during offseason. 7 AM to 5 PM during peak season).
- Work along side the Regional Sales Director to develop and implement sales strategies to drive business growth and achieve targets
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to enhance operational efficiency
- Recruit, hire, train and retain employees based on seasonal industry demand and branch workload
- Manage customer relationships and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
- Oversee project management activities, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards
- Monitor and analyze branch performance, including profit loss analysis, and take appropriate actions to achieve financial objectives
- Drive business development initiatives to expand the branch's customer base
- Order entry and pool kit design assistance for branches largest customers.
- Inventory management and verification through routine cycle counts and end of year complete inventory process.
- Collaborate with senior management in strategic planning and goal setting for the branch
Qualifications:
- Proven leadership experience in a similar role, with the ability to effectively manage a team
- Strong sales skills with a track record of achieving targets and driving business growth
- Excellent supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and develop employees
- Proficient in process improvement methodologies to streamline operations
- Project management experience, with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously
- Sound financial acumen, with experience in budget and inventory management
- Demonstrated ability in business development and strategic planning
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
