The Renewable Energy Manager will manage a team that will define the full process of power strategies (Generation, Transmission, Distribution, Backup Power) for scaling and operating the company’s diverse energy supply strategies. The Renewable Energy Manager will play a pivotal role in supporting project development and operations, from energy modeling to technical evaluations.
In this role, you will:
- Be responsible for successfully leading the Development team, including establishing departmental standards, priorities and output expectations
- Manage multiple behind the meter generation applications with technically complex power infrastructure projects across multiple geographies by facilitating close collaboration between both internal and external stakeholders
- Be resilient in exploring and discovering new supply opportunities and converting them into sound and executable energy projects
- Define strategies that will include reporting status, risks, mitigations and successes to the Executive Team
- Take ownership of managing directly or indirectly all utility interactions
- Be able to handle complexity and ambiguity in a dynamic work environment
- Conduct comprehensive research on industry trends and technology forecasts to make impactful recommendations for the company

- Participate and actively contribute to the development and implementation of renewable energy projects while ensuring they align with the organization’s strategic objectives and industry standards
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the Sales team (internal and external) providing technical sales and peer-review level design through site-specific development process support for projects and leads
- Provide peer-review mentoring and actively assist the Development and Sales teams with projects from intake, through project contract, and up to commencement of construction
- Provide mentor support and peer-review deal screening and returns analysis on projects in development based on provided intake materials, utility analysis and system solution modeling
- Assist and participate in determinations of feasibility of renewable energy solutions which may include solar, co-generation, battery storage or other technologies
- Serve as a sustainability expert – provide subject matter expertise for client sustainability needs and demonstrate understanding of emerging trends for both customers and investors. This includes an evolving list of focus areas including solar, BESS, wind and others
- Maintain optimal client relationships – actively participate and facilitate client initiatives to secure, strengthen, develop, and enhance client relationships providing an advisory role around sustainability strategies
- Provide support that assists the Sales team with presales activities (templates, tools and guidance) to ensure differentiation of our solutions to attract and retain customers and position the business favorably against industry competitors to drive strong brand awareness and value proposition in the market
- Assist and cultivate growth strategies and process improvement opportunities by working closely with the Executive Team collaborating with Sales team to develop GTM strategies for all sustainability products
- Provide peer-review oversight and assistance to record, track, and monitor accurate sales pipeline (via CRM) and ensure opportunities are represented and reported correctly
- Actively contribute to accurate sustainability solutions - use feedback from client and business line engagement, identify new sustainability solutions and collaborate with internal Sales & Delivery teams
- Provide peer-review support and when appropriate actively initiate and manage all project generation interconnection activity
The ideal candidate will possess a strong energy background and a proven track record of developing innovative energy projects. Must have experience working with regulated electric utilities and the knowledge to navigate through interconnection applications, impact studies, tariffs, curtailment and energy export supply agreements. The right candidate will have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about the project development team and technical challenges.

Qualifications:
- 7-10 years of relevant work experience preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline preferred
- Direct on-site renewable experience preferred

Pay: $95,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
