General Description: Metro Technology Centers is accepting applications for a
Facility Maintenance Manager who will be responsible for the planning, organizing, coordinating, and managing of facility and building equipment maintenance for entire district.
Representative Duties:
1. Monitors the operation of district mechanical equipment and systems, necessary maintenance (preventative and repair) and maintenance schedules.
2. Recommends the selection and acquisition of mechanical equipment and systems.
3. Directs the upkeep and maintenance of facilities and roadways of the district, deploying staff, as necessary.
4. Responsible for external and internal relationships related to facilities services including but not limited to city representatives and support offices, vendors, and contractors.
5. Maintains working knowledge of laws and policies governing the operation of mechanical equipment and safety procedures.
6. Under direction of the Director of Environmental Safety and Regulatory Affairs, works with architects and engineers to coordinate building and repair projects; serves as clerk of the work on all building and repair projects.
7. Conducts Facility Condition Assessments/Audits as necessary
8. Attends work regularly following a designated work schedule. Must be able to work extended hours and additional days/evenings as required by position responsibilities. Must be able to attend and participate in meetings and conferences as scheduled.
9. Demonstrates the ability to read, interpret architectural and mechanical drawings and specifications, and ability to move around the District on a regular basis.
10. Directs day to day facility maintenance operations of maintenance team.
11. Develops, Schedules, ensures completion of mechanical equipment and building preventative maintenance tasks.
12. Utilizes district Information Management System for completion of duties.
13. Recommends mechanical equipment capital investment plans utilizing data from district information Management Systems.
14. Develops Section budgetary and staffing needs
15. Performs related duties as may be required to accomplish the essential job functions.
General Qualification Requirements: Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Five (5) years experience in managing/supervising building construction, building maintenance, grounds maintenance and vehicle departments or similar experience.
- Experience in budget management.
- Experience in public schools.
- Experience in strategic planning.
- Facility Manager Certification
- HVAC, Electrician, or Plumber Licensure desired.

MINIMAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT:
- Frequent standing, moving, sitting, crouching, kneeling, handling, and manual dexterity.
