Job Description:
The Apprentice HVAC Commercial Technician will assist with installing commercial and industrial heating and cooling equipment (rooftops, furnaces, central air conditioners, commercial refrigeration equipment).
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Work with others on a team to learn and maintain HVAC systems (Hydronic, Steam, Forced Hot Air, and Heat Pumps).
- Work with others on a team to learn and perform the following tasks: read schematics, diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC equipment, and perform preventive maintenance on equipment all while maintaining a high standard of mechanical installation practices.
Qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience in a field in a commercial/industrial/ residential environment or equivalent combination of vocational training and experience.
- Must multi-task, work with minimal supervision, follow written and oral instructions, show attention to detail, and demonstrate problem-solving skills.
- Must be able to pass a post-offer pre-employment drug screen and may be required to satisfactorily complete additional background checks as required (i.e., DMV, criminal history).
