We here at the Gustave A Larson Company are looking our next team member to join us as a Counter Sales Representative. What qualities are we looking for?
We are an HVAC/R wholesale distributor throughout the Midwest and Mountain States, including our Denver market. We thrive on being customer service oriented, being nimble, balancing multiple responsibilities, and developing positive relationships with our teams to work together to get the job done.
We need people who are:
- Customer Focused – we are passionate about serving all of our customers, including dealers, business owners and large HVACR (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, Refrigeration) companies and consolidators. We meet customers’ needs by delivering on our promises at the Counter in our locations. We do this by being present and in person with our customers at our location, on the phone, and managing and fulfilling online orders quickly.
- Proficient in HVAC Product and the HVAC industry - Understanding HVAC residential systems is a must, and that experience is needed to assist in selling the right equipment and recommending the right systems for the jobs our customers have. You are the front lines with the Technician who is installing in the field every day.
- Excited to Sell – You learn and continually improve on sales skills and product knowledge to maintain competitive advantage in very high paced and competitive environment – this means understanding and growing your product knowledge – we are a technical business and expect a high level of professionalism.
- Have Attention to Detail - Provide customer service expertise and support to pricing, quoting, credit terms and orders, and doing this consistently – processing sales, credit transactions, and processing warranty paperwork, etc. We also expect a CSR to know the store, stock it, and help keep it clean.
- Like a great work schedule – We are consistently a M – F schedule, holidays and weekends off*

- We learn & understand the entire business - part of our training program involves learning and understanding from the beginning how our business operates - you will spend time initially learning the warehouse, counter, quoting, inside sales roles so you have a solid foundation in your role.
Candidates should have:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Counter Sales Representative or customer service experience, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Minimum 2 years of HVACR field experience, and/or degree/certification in HVACR preferred.
- Combination of education and related experience will also be considered.
- Good command of Microsoft Office applications.
- Enthusiastic, energetic, creative, customer-focused professional. Thrives in a fast-paced environment and provides accuracy and timeliness.
- *Individual must be flexible with changes in work schedule, willing to work overtime and be on-call occasionally on weekends (this is an additional pay opportunity).

Pay: $21.50 - $25.00 per hour
