Job Overview
The Fleet & Facilities Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of our fleet of vehicles and equipment. This role requires a strong mechanical background, excellent supervisory skills, and the ability to manage a team effectively. The ideal candidate will oversee preventative maintenance, repair orders, outside vendor support, and warranty submissions. Responsibilities include providing oversight and direction to maintenance mechanics, ensuring that the company’s resources are managed and coordinated in an efficient and professional manner. This position requires expertise in Fleet and or Vehicle Maintenance, data analysis, budgeting, training personnel, planning, addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead a team of mechanics and technicians in the maintenance and repair of fleet vehicles.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime.
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track work orders, inventory, and maintenance schedules (Truck Tacker/Oracle NetSuite)
- Fabricate parts as needed to maintain equipment functionality.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies regarding fleet operations.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities and repairs performed on vehicles.
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate vehicle availability for operational needs.
- Provide training and support to staff on best practices in fleet maintenance.
- Research, screen and select vendors of materials, supplies, equipment, and services.
- Responsible for the upkeep of mechanical, electrical, heating, plumbing, and aesthetic elements of facility.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in fleet maintenance management or a similar role.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in high voltage systems preferred.
- Familiarity with logic controllers and HVAC systems is advantageous.
- Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to motivate and lead a team effectively.
- Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Willingness to stay current with industry trends and advancements in technology.
- Ability to travel depending on district/territory to outlying locations and vendors.
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record (CDL - Class B or C).
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Excel.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $63,260.56 - $76,260.56 per year
