As we continue to grow, we are seeking a passionate and driven Marketing Assistant to join our team.
Responsibilities:
Campaign support:
- Assist in the planning and execution of marketing campaigns.
- Help in the creation and distribution of marketing materials including brochures, flyers, and social media content.
- Implement grassroots marketing strategies that drive brand awareness, customer engagement, and traffic to our bars.
- Build and maintain relationships with local businesses and community organizations to create partnership opportunities.
- Manage and execute street team activities, including flyering, grassroots marketing, and on-the-ground business development (individually and collectively with our management teams).
Content Creation:
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop original content for digital channels.
- Assist in maintaining multiple content calendars and updating each individual venue’s social media profiles.
Market Research:
- Identify and leverage local trends, events, and opportunities to enhance our marketing efforts.
- Measure grassroots campaign effectiveness, providing regular reports and insights to the Marketing Director.
- Analyze competitor activities and industry trends to inform marketing strategies.
- Stay informed about changes and trends in social media.
Merchandise System Management:
- Coordinate the procurement, assembly and distribution of merchandise and promotional items for venues alongside Creative Director.
- Assist with inventory tracking for venue merchandise orders and stock levels with help from management teams.
- Maintain inventory of marketing materials within the main office.
Administrative Support:
- Maintain and build marketing databases and ensure the accuracy of contact lists.
- Attend necessary meetings with marketing and management teams.
- Handle routine administrative tasks, such as scheduling meetings, preparing reports, and managing communications.
- Ensure cost-effective use of resources.
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of the Austin market and local community.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and Google Workplace.
- Familiarity with digital marketing tools and platforms (e.g., social media, email marketing, content management systems).
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed for content generation.
Preferred Skills:
- Previous experience in a marketing or administrative role.
- Basic knowledge of graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite).
- Experience with data analysis and marketing analytics tools.
Work Environment:
- Full-time position based in our East Austin office.
- Requires frequent travel to our family of venues, events or meetings as well as local businesses identified in our marketing efforts. Mileage shall be reimbursed at the federally approved standard rate.
