We provide facility and preventative maintenance services to aviation, government, and commercial facilities throughout the United States and the Caribbean. With over two decades of experience in the maintenance and construction industries, we are seeking to add an experienced HVAC/R Manager with a Contractor License to our dynamic team.
Scope of Work
The successful candidate must be willing to utilize their HVAC/R Contractor license to pull permits when necessary. Oversee all HVAC/R work, projects, installation, repairs and Preventive Maintenance in accordance with company standards and manufacturer specifications. In addition the supervision of all junior HVAC/R technicians in the operation.
Job Responsibilities
- Train and develop less skilled HVAC/R Technicians on site
- Approve or acknowledge workable hours of all HVAC/R Technicians on site
- Oversee all HVAC/R work, projects, installation, repairs and PMs (Preventive Maintenance)
- Collaborate effectively with team members and other departments to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget
- Install, maintain, and repair HVAC/R commercial equipment including walk-in freezers, coolers, ice machines, rack systems and other commercial refrigeration equipment
- Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC/R commercial equipment and perform necessary repairs or replacements of parts
- Conduct routine maintenance checks and inspections of HVAC/R commercial equipment to ensure they operate at peak efficiency
- Respond to calls promptly and professionally, addressing client concerns and resolving issues in a timely manner
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines in all HVAC/R work, including handling refrigerants and other hazardous materials
- Document all work performed, including parts used, repairs completed, and maintenance tasks, ensuring accurate record-keeping
- Provide recommendations to clients regarding HVAC/R equipment upgrades, replacements, or enhancements to improve efficiency and performance
Requirements:
- HVAC/R Contractor license to pull permits when necessary
- Minimum 10 years of experience in HVAC/R commercial refrigerant equipment repair and maintenance
- Minimum 5 years of managerial experience
- Possess excellent communication skills and have a take charge attitude, while always maintaining a respectful and professional demeanor- demonstrate the ability to productively lead a team
- Must have Massachusetts HVAC/R Technician License
- Proficiency in troubleshooting HVAC/R commercial equipment such as walk-in freezers, coolers, and other commercial refrigerant equipment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Must have a valid US driver's License with at least 3 years of experience- approvals and final decision is subjected to our automobile insurance carrier's criteria
- Knowledge of environmental regulations related to HVAC/R systems and refrigerants (R-22, R-410A, R-134A)
- Universal refrigerant certification
Compensation: $75.00 - $80.00 per hour (Based on experience), medical, vision, dental, life insurance, 401k.
Shift: Monday - Friday 6:00am to 3:30pm
