Three Way Logistics is an industry leader in material management, logistics, and comprehensive transportation services with proven accuracy, flexibility, and on-time delivery who is looking for a full time Dispatcher for their Austin, TX facility.
Pay and Shift: Pay: $52,000 to $55,000 per year, Tue-Sat.
May be called to work weekends occasionally.
Summary: Assists in planning, directing, and coordinating all activities for drivers by performing the following duties personally or through delegation.

Plans, directs, and coordinates all activities for drivers by performing the following duties personally or through delegation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):
Understanding of routing for drivers. Plans routes and checks for efficiency.
Responsible for terminal and dispatching activities, communication operations, and assignment of drivers to obtain optimum use of facilities, equipment, and drivers.
Responsible for ensuring the vehicles are clean and meet maintenance standards and requirements.
Reports service issues to leasing company. Tracks all variable expenses to include mileage and fuel, reports any noted maintenance issues with equipment to the supervisor.
Ensures driver are compliant with complete pre-trip inspections.
Makes sure drivers are in presentable uniforms and required equipment to complete their tasks.
Responds to and resolves customer complaints. Uses appropriate level of authority to discipline driver and take immediate action concerning customer complaints and issues.
Checks trip and dispatch logs for conformance with schedules and ensure driver accurately fill out manifests.
Organizes freight from incoming trucks to optimize cross dock and rerouting operations
Unloads and/or supervises unloading of transfer trucks and stage items in appropriate area when needed.
Makes calls throughout the day to track progress of drivers

Education/Experience:
A minimum of 2 years of experience in transportation industry.
Certificates and Licenses:
Possess Valid Driver’s License. Forklift Certification preferred but not required.
