As the Customer Service Representative at Extend-A-Care YMCA, you are responsible for duties related to greeting clients in person and by phone, enrollment, accepting payments, and general inquiries from customers and potential customers. The Customer Service Representative has first contact with our customers and plays a key role in the Y's mission by helping parents enroll their children in affordable, quality childcare.
You will also support the enterprise's commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) and the core character values of the YMCA. Reporting directly to the Accounts Director, you will partner closely with other senior leaders throughout the enterprise to achieve outcomes.
How You Will Make an Impact (Essential Functions)
- Enroll children into childcare programs.
- Respond to inquiries from the public via email, phone calls, and walk-ins.
- Provide billing and payment information to clients.
- Answer and transfer calls on a multi-line telephone system.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
- Complete other duties as assigned.
What You Bring to the Community Enterprise
- Education and Experience: You are a minimum of 18 years old and have a high school diploma or GED. You Have at least one year of customer service experience. You are knowledgeable with Microsoft Excel and Word programs.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus, but not required.
- Systems Knowledge: Proficiency in multi-line telephone systems and Microsoft 365 a plus.
- You are a team player. You are a team player with a positive, service-oriented attitude and you can work well with others.
- You are organized and productive. You are organized, able to prioritize tasks and handle multiple assignments.

Compensation: $17 - $22, depending on experience
