As a Refrigeration Supervisor within HAC Inc., you will be working closely with the Refrigeration Manager. The role requires the candidate to communicate effectively, organize work, juggle priorities, solve problems and make key decisions in a challenging environment. This position will require up to 80% of your time in the field.
The successful candidate will engage directly with the Refrigeration Manager to complete necessary tasks. The candidate must demonstrate the ability to manage all aspects of the work to be performed.
The candidate will have following responsibilities:
- Make key decisions on refrigeration issues
- Approve third party contactors course of action as needed
- Activity Planning and Sequencing
- Ability to diagnose refrigeration problems & supervise repairs to equipment in a timely manner
- CPC E2 controls, and general control knowledge
- Monitoring and reporting progress to Refrigeration Manager.
- Schedule prescribed and routine maintenance procedures on supermarket refrigeration systems and self-contained temperature-controlled merchandisers.
- Supervise various preventive maintenance tasks and procedures.
- Properly maintain all repair, labor, parts purchasing and usage documentation in a timely fashion
- Afterhours call rotation with emergency phone
- Performing preventative maintenance and repairs on HVAC and refrigeration equipment
Physical demands include but are not limited to high aptitude for standing and walking endurance, sitting while driving to various stores, lifting, and carrying up to 70 pounds, pushing and pulling climbing ladders of various types, bending, squatting, and kneeling, and working in different temperatures inside and outside the store.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- EPA Type 2 Certification
- Ability to use control manufacturers software
- Clean driving record
- Must hold and maintain a valid drivers license
- 3-5 years supermarket rack system refrigeration, ice machine & HVAC service experience
- Willing to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening test and criminal background
- Oklahoma State Mechanical Journeyman license
- Periodic overnight travel may be required.
