Business Development Manager : Commercial TANKLESS Systems / Plumbing - RELOCATION TO MICHIGAN ( Assistance Available )
POSITION SUMMARY: Facilities Resource Group ("FRG"), located near Grand Rapids, Michigan, is a tankless systems solutions provider for nationwide commercial clients.
We need an experiencedCommercial On - Demand / Tankless Water Heating Systems expert with astute understanding of function and design, and in-field, hands-on leadership experience with: Commercial on-demand / tankless water heating systems for domestic hot water, including special knowledge of tankless units, mini-splits, boilers, combi-boilers , heat pumps. Ideal candidates will also have hands-on field plumbing leadership experience, feel comfortable delivering technical information across various platforms and arenas, i.e., client meetings, presentations, demonstrations or trainings), possess an innate drive to succeed and be willing to challenge the status quo.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Business Development Manager works onsite near Grand Rapids, Michigan (MUST RELOCATE w/ ASSISTANCE).
Position is expected to be travel-heavy the first 3 months, with travel tapering off to approximately 25% after introductory period. This role positions the Company for long-term growth and success through the generation of new leads and sales, by procuring and nurturing business relationships. The ability to learn and grow with the business and to adapt and flex accordingly during these first days is absolutely imperative. Gleaning knowledge will be an ongoing concerted focus area during initial period.
Once acclimated, the Business Development Manager seeks, identifies and secures opportunities to increase overall Company sales, profit, or value, and stimulates continuous development of the business, while keeping best interests of Company and Customer at the forefront.
Works with other members of management to ensure key target objectives are aligned with the Company’s capabilities, as well as its mission, vision and values. Exhibits strengths in areas of strategic planning, resource allocation and demand planning, change management and market factors that are pertinent to self-performed, self-mitigated, commercial mechanical plumbing work. Represents the Company with utmost integrity and professionalism in all dealings and travels on behalf of the Company, acting as a representative at meetings, conferences, trade shows, or job sites.
This role performs occasional hands-on work in the field with the team or audits the work performed, in order to ensure Company and department KPI’s are being managed and met consistently, or adjusted as necessary, and ensures the Company is meeting or exceeding standards in all areas of compliance. At times, performs in-field or classroom-style technical trainings or demonstrations.
Demonstrates a powerful, take-charge attitude when appropriate, but is often able to achieve desired results through creative navigation of thoughtful discussions, assertively addressing collaborative challenges in a manner which gains others’ trust and results in stakeholder buy-in or agreement. The Business Development Manager is a self-driven, dynamic critical thinker who possesses an almost innate inclination to innovate, motivate, grow, and achieve the ultimate goal to be BIGGER, FASTER, STRONGER!
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Reside in / relocate to Michigan
- Collaboratively contribute to success of mechanical plumbing work performance, provide direction on projects in shop or field, and/or audit performance as directed;
- Drive Company objectives and actualization of new market potential business;
- Generate business in new markets and expand business in current markets;
- Identify and implement measures to set, track and meet/exceed objectives;
- Build / strengthen the brand and market presence, loyalty and awareness;
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends and opportunities;
- Develop and deliver presentations, marketing campaigns, reports, etc;

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION & REQUIREMENTS:
- HS Diploma or Equivalent, Valid Driver's License & Authorized to Work in US;
- 8 Years of Tankless Water Heating Systems/ related Commercial Plumbing;
- Must be able to read and work from Blueprints, ISO's or engineering drawings;
- Exceptional analytical and mechanical competencies, knowledge and aptitudes;
- Willingness and ability to perform hands-on physical work and lift up to 75 pounds;
- Willingness/ability to travel nationally - heavily the 1st 3 months, then as needed;
- Completion of standard background, drug screen and onboarding requirements;
