Commercial HVAC DX Equipment Installer
This job reports to HVAC Trades: Project Manager

Primary Job Function: To install heating and air conditioning systems to industry standards providing the customer with a high quality experience.
Position: Commercial DX Installer
Pay Type: Hourly
Essential Functions
- Applicant must be knowledgeable with commercial DX refrigerant system including brazing, fitting/piping Hot gas, TXV’s, core dryers, sight glass. Knowledgeable in basic low voltage control and line voltage single and three phase electrical connections to HVAC equipment.
- Applicant must possess a universal or equivalent EPA certification. Knowledge of HVAC reclaim and startup procedures of DX HVAC equipment including superheat and subcooling charging methods and refrigerants R22, 410A.
- Applicant must have the ability to professionally represent and communicate with building owners, owner representatives, engineers and coworkers.
- Informs personnel regarding procedures for the purpose of providing information for making decisions, taking appropriate action and/or complying with building and safety regulations.
- Maintains vehicles, tools and equipment for the purpose of ensuring availability in safe operating condition.
- Participates in meetings, workshops, training, and seminars, as assigned for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform job functions.
- Prepares written materials (e.g. repair status, activity logs, etc) for the purpose of documenting activities and/or conveying information.
- Transports a variety of tools, equipment and supplies for the purpose of ensuring the availability of materials required at job site.
Responsibility
Responsibilities include: working under limited supervision using standardized practices and/or methods; providing information and/or advising others; and operating within a defined budget. Utilization of resources from other work units may be required to perform the job’s functions. There is some opportunity to impact the organization’s services.
Working Environment
The usual and customary methods of performing the job’s functions require the following physical demand: occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some climbing and balancing; frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and significant fine finger dexterity. Generally the job requires 10% sitting. 60% walking and 30% standing. The job is performed under temperature extremes and in a generally hazard free environment.
Job Requirements
High School diploma or G.E.D. required.
Possesses both written and verbal English language skills
Must have five (5) years minimum of hands on field experience
Have a Valid Florida driver’s license
Insurable by Company insurance carrier
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand ;walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel ;reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop ,kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to sit. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position.
