We are looking for an experienced HVAC Foreman to join our team. We are a stable and growing veteran Mechanical Contractor in the commercial new construction space. We primarily build multi family developments. Teams range from 4-20 depending on the project size. Projects range from 40k sq ft to 200k sq ft and from Mid to High Rise. We also have a thriving retail arm which performs light commercial installation.
Must be familiar with installation of Furnaces, Heat Pumps, Rooftop Units, Magic Paks/HWCs, ERV, DOAS, Exhaust Fans, Refrigeration, Controls and heavy Sheet Metal. Welding and VRF experience a plus.
As foreman, your job responsibilities are, but not limited to: Interacting and coordinating with the GC, other MEP trades, framer, roofer, drywaller and other necessary trades, attending project progress meetings, laying out the project and ordering materials ahead of time to keep your field staff working, using company supplied IPAD, applications, and emails throughout the job as directed for communication and transparency, meeting with inspectors, coordinating subcontractors such as concrete cutters and TAB or controls subs, and installation. All foreman are expected to install and be working foreman in our company.
It is expected the candidate will have the following certifications:
EPA/NATE
OSHA 30
MEWP training
Minimum 5 years experience in commercial HVAC new construction
Basic Hand and Power Tools
Valid Drivers License and Insurable
Project locations are Ann Arbor area, Ypsilanti, as well as Downton Detroit. All projects range from 50-300 units, and typically last 6-14 months. Hours are M-F 7-330 with 1/2 hour lunch. OT is available throughout the year. We do not get slow and we are always working. There is no seasonality in construction and we do not lay off. We are open shop non union.
