We are a Delivery Service based in Austin TX is looking for a qualified part time Dispatcher to manage our office and dispatch delivery drivers. This an exciting position for the right individual to come into a growing operation and help put their stamp onto the company. Future growth within the company is always an option. This is a part time position 10-15 hrs/week.
The duties for this position include but are not limited to:
- Scheduling and dispatching delivery drivers to appropriate locations according to predetermined schedules, customer requests or immediate needs
- Monitor daily route scheduling with drivers and customers
- Answer phones and assist with driver related questions
- Relaying information such as work orders or other messages to and from work crews, field inspectors, supervisors or emergency personnel
- Using telephones and text messages to contact employees
- Preparing daily work such as schedules
Skills and qualifications:
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with others under any type of condition
- Excellent clerical and organizational skills to keep track of schedules, routes and personnel
- Knowledge of computers for scheduling and other dispatching duties
- Knowledge of Microsoft word and Excel
- Knowledge of social media: Facebook, Instagram , etc.
- Ability to multitask with different, and sometimes conflicting, events happening at the same time
- Ability to work under stress and remain calm and to calm other people during rapidly changing circumstances
- Ability to relay information in a fast-paced environment
Schedule:
4-6 hour shift Tues-Thurs
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
