- Implement a gross profit system: create material lists for all job types, hourly wage, and commission wage, and implement them into Service Titan.
- Include Cost and Revenue Data: Ensure that the report includes both cost and revenue data for each job. This typically involves pulling information from various sections of ServiceTitan, such as job costing and invoicing.
- Calculate Gross Profit: ServiceTitan should automatically calculate the gross profit for each job based on the cost of materials, labor, and other expenses, subtracted from the total revenue generated.
- Review and Analyze Results: Once the report is generated, review the results to identify trends, areas of improvement, and opportunities for cost savings or revenue growth.
- Set Thresholds for Profitability: Determine the minimum acceptable gross profit margin for jobs. Jobs falling below this threshold should be flagged for further review.
- Implement Action Plans: Develop action plans to address jobs that fall below the standard profitability. This may involve renegotiating contracts with vendors, adjusting pricing strategies, or improving efficiency in labor and material usage.
- Coordinate with Payroll: Ensure that payroll data is integrated into the report to accurately calculate labor costs. Coordinate with the payroll department or relevant stakeholders to streamline this process.
- Vendor Relations and Price Negotiation: Work on building and growing relationships with supply houses and outside vendors to negotiate better pricing terms. Monitor market trends and seek opportunities to decrease material costs without sacrificing quality.
- Continuous Improvement: Regularly review and refine the Gross Profit Report process to adapt to changing business needs and market conditions. Solicit feedback from team members and stakeholders to identify areas for improvement.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in technology sales or account management
- Strong ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and maintain relationships
- Demonstrated ability to drive sales growth and meet or exceed targets
- Proficiency in using Salesforce or similar CRM software
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to close deals
