Experienced HVAC Service Technician
We are looking to hire a detail-oriented EXPERIENCED HVAC Technician to maintain and repair HVAC systems in the metro-Detroit area. The HVAC Technician will be skilled in cleaning, adjusting and repairing all types of HVAC systems. You will also guide and advise the customer to select the most appropriate system for their home or business, perform routine maintenance on all types of systems, and complete warranty and emergency repairs.
To be successful in this role, customer satisfaction, proficiency, safety, and comfort should be your top priority. We are looking for a team player who is willing to go the extra mile. Ideal candidates will be patient, have effective communication skills, and have excellent organizational and troubleshooting abilities.
HVAC Technician Responsibilities and Required Skills for the position:
Maintaining and repairing heating and cooling systems and equipment including:
- Air Conditioners
- Air Handlers
- Air Quality Systems
- Boilers and Combi Units
- Ductless Systems
- Gas Furnace
- Heat Pumps
- Mini Splits
- Radiant Floor Heating
- Tankless Water Heaters
- Whole House Generators
Other Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Identifying maintenance risks on equipment.
- Analytical skills and attention to detail with the ability to read and interpret.
- Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems.
- Cleaning, adjusting and repairing systems, and performing warranty services.
- Performing emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.
- Providing technical direction and on-the-job training to less experienced team members.
- Effective documentation and record keeping of all maintenance functions and repairs.
- Ensuring compliance with appliance standards and with OSHA.
- Complying with service standards, work instructions and customers' requirements.
- Makes a professional impression with all customers including homeowners, neighbors, building owners, and maintenance workers.
Experienced HVAC Service Technician Requirements:
- High school diploma, GED or suitable equivalent
- 5+ years experience as an HVAC technician
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
- Understanding of advanced principles of HVAC systems
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work after hours, on weekends, and on holidays
- Ability to work in confined spaces
- Ability to climb ladders and be at high levels
Other requirements include being well groomed, neat appearance, valid driver’s license and good driving record, no criminal record, carry ladders; work from heights, work in small crawl spaces, observe all company procedures and safety rules and work as part of our team to ensure customer satisfaction.
Candidates must have their own tools to qualify for the position.
