Key Responsibilities:
1. HVAC System Installation:
- Expertly install and replace HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, hot water heaters, and ductwork.
- Ensure installations are in compliance with industry standards, local codes, and manufacturer specifications.
- Conduct job site assessments to determine the appropriate system size, and materials for projects.
2. Customer Service:
- Interact with customers in a courteous and professional manner, addressing their concerns and answering questions.
- Provide recommendations for system upgrades, energy efficiency improvements, and preventive maintenance.
- Educate customers on proper HVAC system operation and maintenance practices.
3. Quality Control:
- Uphold the company’s commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship and attention to detail in every project.
- Conduct post-installation inspections and quality checks to ensure systems are operating optimally.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used.
4. Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety protocols, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following safe work practices.
- Stay updated on industry regulations and certifications to ensure compliance with all codes and standards.
5. Professional Development:
- Pursue continuous training and certifications to enhance skills and stay current with industry advancements.
- Collaborate with team members to share knowledge and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; HVAC certification preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in HVAC installation, with a focus on furnace replacements, A/C (Air Conditioning) replacements, hot water heater replacements, and brazing.
- Technical Skills: Strong technical and mechanical aptitude, which includes being proficient in installing copper refrigerant lines, copper water lines, both flex and sheet metal duct systems, and HVAC equipment.
- Problem Solving: Must possess excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Communication: Demonstrate exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with customers and team members.
- Licenses: Must have valid driver’s license and a clean driving record, with a minimum of Type II 608 EPA Certification (Universal 608 EPA is a plus).
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various weather conditions.
