- Performing routine maintenance and inspections on HVAC systems. (Cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting parts to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.)
- Identify and diagnose HVAC system issues using appropriate tools and techniques. Recommend solutions to repair, replace, or upgrade equipment.
- Repair or replace defective components, wiring, or equipment in HVAC systems, including air conditioners, heat pumps, furnaces, and boilers.
- Test HVAC systems to verify proper functioning after installations, repairs, or maintenance. Calibrate controls and check for compliance with standards.
- Follow all safety protocols, guidelines, and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself, colleagues, and customers.
- Provide excellent customer service by clearly explaining system issues, repair options, and maintenance practices to clients. Ensure customer satisfaction with every service call.
- Accurately complete service reports, job orders, and maintenance logs. Record findings, repairs, and recommendations for future service.
- Standard 8-hour shift
- Rotating Saturdays as part of the regular schedule
- Participation in rotating an on-call schedule for emergency service, ensuring timely responses to urgent HVAC needs
- Overtime available based on workload and customer demand
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an HVAC technician, with hands-on experience in maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting.
- EPA certification is required. NATE certification or other industry-recognized credentials are preferred.
- Must hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with HVAC systems, refrigeration principles, and boiler operations.
- Proficient in HVAC system components, including air handlers, heat pumps, furnaces, ductwork, and thermostats.
- Ability to identify and resolve complex HVAC system issues quickly and effectively.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations when working with refrigerants, electrical components, and mechanical systems.
- Excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical clients.
- Capable of lifting heavy equipment, working in confined spaces, and handling tasks that may require kneeling, climbing, or extended standing.
