Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and motivated HVAC Residential Start-Up Technician to join our team. As a Start-Up Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring that newly installed HVAC systems are properly calibrated, tested and functioning efficiently. Your expertise will contribute to our goal of delivering top notch comfort solutions to our valued customers.
Responsibilities:
- Perform start-up procedures on newly installed residential HVAC systems, including furnaces, heat pumps, VRV, ductless splits and related components.
- Calibrate and test HVAC equipment to ensure proper functionality and efficiency.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot any issues that may arise during the start-up process.
- Collaborate with installation teams to ensure seamless transition from installation to start-up.
- Document all work performed including equipment setting, measurements and necessary adjustments.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client questions and concerns in a professional manner.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and technological advancements to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Qualficiations:
- High school diploma or equivalent: HVAC technical school certification is a plus.
- Proven experience as an HVAC technician, with a focus on start-up procedures.
- Strong understanding of residential HVAC systems and their components.
- Proficient in diagnosing and troubleshooting HVAC equipment.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-oriented approach.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- EPA certification for handling refrigerants is a plus.
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends based on demand.
- Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various weather conditions.
