Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- In addition to being able to perform normal tasks of a electrician, arriving on time and as scheduled at the assigned job site is critical for success at Scott-Del Electric.
- Being a team player is a must.
- Ensure work is completed on schedule.
- Consult with builders, architects, and other workers on-site when necessary.
- Maintaining current electrician’s license or identification card to meet governmental regulations.
- Read and interpret design schematics/blueprints to ensure the proper installation of electrical systems.
- Determine the steps necessary to assess an electrical situation using testing devices, blueprints and maps.
- Ensure systems meet company standards and are installed per all electrical and local building codes.
- Use a variety of tools and techniques to install and test electrical systems including to determine where issues may be occurring, the safety of the system and to ensure compatibility.
1. Assist with troubleshooting electrical components, wiring diagrams, transformers, motors, panels, and circuits.2. Troubleshoot major system failures and equipment malfunctions.
- Maintain equipment to ensure it is in good condition and can operate or be used safely; report any issues to immediate supervisor.
- Use ladders, scaffolding, platform or lifts to install or work on electrical systems for commercial properties.
- Ensure that you follow all safety requirements and OSHA guidelines while you work as well as reporting violations of policies, procedures and guidelines to immediate supervisor.
1. Maintain a safe and clean work area.
- Line out job helper(s) with work and check on their progress regularly (min every two hours unless working together on the same item).
1. Teach electrical work to helpers to increase their productivity and ability to help more in the future.
- Turn in lost time tracking to the Project Manager daily.
- Attend daily huddle meetings every morning.
- Generalized expectations:1. Assist the Project Manager with meeting or exceeding job/project deadlines and budgets.
2. Timestation: clock in/out on time and on the job site.
3. Receive and carryout daily safety messages.
4. Respectfully coordinate with leaders for understanding and executing work.
5. If in doubt, ask for help or clarity.
6. Must be able to safely and properly use all tools and machines associated to the role or task.
- Perform other related or similar duties as required.
Qualifications
- Must possess and maintain an electrician license.
- Must possess and maintain a valid U.S Driver’s license.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Must pass a criminal background check
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Must be able to see color to discern color-coded wiring.
- Must be able to withstand prolonged periods standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders or scaffolding.
- Must be physically capable of pulling wires and cables through conduits.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Schedule and Work Environment
- Scott-Del Electric Electricians typically work Monday-Friday from 7am to 3:30pm, but may from time to time be required to work overtime and/or Saturdays.
- Scott-Del Electric Electricians work indoors and outdoors at businesses, factories, and construction sites.

Pay: $14.00 - $30.00 per hour
