POSITION SUMMARY: The Maintenance Technician position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain kitchen equipment and refrigeration as well as the facilities, according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of Dickie Brennan & Company’s goals and objectives.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Knowledge of various kitchen and refrigeration equipment including gas and electric ovens, cooktops, etc.
· HVAC and refrigeration
· Basic plumbing skills
· Basic electrical theory
· Must be able to assess issues with various equipment and find proper solutions for repairs
· Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of equipment
· Perform regular preventive maintenance on equipment and facilities
· Typical building maintenance including minor building cosmetics, toilet and faucet repair, outlet and switch replacement, light construction including painting and tile repair
· Use a variety of hand and power tools
· Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
· Communicate well with other team members while exhibiting good teamwork skills
· Able to give and receive direction well
· Practice safety and good sanitation habits at all times
· Handle tools and equipment properly and respectfully
· Maintain a strong professional presence which includes arriving to work on time, ready to work and in clean, proper uniform
· Maintains an awareness of and follows Company standards at all times
· Work efficiently, productively, independently and complete required tasks within assigned timeframe and following all applicable building and mechanical codes
· Attend all scheduled employee meetings and participate in a meaningful way
· Complete all duties as assigned by Director of Maintenance as well as other members of management
REQUIREMENTS:
· High school graduate or equivalent; and Certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology or relevant field will be a plus
· Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) is desired
· Must have a valid driver's license
· Good math skills helpful
· Ability to read, count, and write to accurately complete all documentation
· Ability to communicate and understand directions and instructions in English (written and verbal)
· Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
· Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices
· Knowledge and the ability to use hand tools, power tools, gauges, meters and measuring equipment, etc.
· Manual dexterity is essential. Must possess finger dexterity to use tools and equipment adeptly
· Must be able to climb and work on ladders as well as have the ability to work laying under equipment at times
· Subject to wet or slippery floors, temperature extremes/frequent changes in temperature, and excessive noise. Able to work in hot temperatures and freezer/cooler areas for extended periods of time.
· Must be able to stand for long periods of time, bend, stoop, reach, crouch, kneel, lift, push and pull. Properly lift up to 50- 75 pounds regularly; push, pull or move items weighing up to 100 pounds occasionally
· Ability to work Monday- Friday daytime in a fast-paced environment in accordance with restaurant operations and adhere to the attendance requirements of the restaurant. Overtime and after-hour callback will be required occasionally.
· Must adhere to the established appearance, hygiene, and uniform guidelines
· Ability to adhere to and comply with all rules and regulations of the company
