Overview
We are seeking a skilled Journeyman HVAC Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, with a focus on both residential and commercial applications. This role requires mechanical knowledge and the ability to troubleshoot and repair various HVAC systems efficiently. The HVAC Technician will be responsible for ensuring optimal performance of heating and cooling systems, maintaining equipment, and providing excellent customer service.
Duties
- Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioners, furnaces, and refrigeration units.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on HVAC equipment.
- Troubleshoot issues using diagnostic tools such as an ohmmeter to identify problems in electrical components.
- Perform repairs on ammonia refrigeration systems as needed.
- Collaborate with property maintenance teams to ensure all HVAC-related tasks are completed effectively.
- Provide field service support for clients, addressing their concerns promptly and professionally.
- Utilize welding skills for necessary repairs or installations of HVAC components.
- Document all service work performed and maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance.
Skills
- Proficiency in HVAC system design and installation techniques.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose and repair various appliances.
- Experience in property maintenance with a focus on HVAC systems.
- Familiarity with ammonia refrigeration systems is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to work independently in the field while managing time effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
You will be responsible for service calls that range 60 mile radius from your home address.

Pay: $45.00 - $52.00 per hour
