JOB SUMMARY:
The Position: Performs highly advanced installation, maintenance, and repair work of plumbing systems
and components. Responsibilities include coordinating and overseeing the assembly, installation, or repair
of pipes, fittings, or fixtures for heating, water, and/or draining systems. The individual may also serve as
a lead worker, providing direction and supervision to other team members. This role demands a high
degree of initiative, independent judgment, and the ability to work under minimal supervision.

state agencies, all working in the service of the citizens of Texas. The Facilities Management and
Operations (FMO) Division oversees a varied property portfolio of office space, storage, warehouses,

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Coordinates and performs pipe cutting, welding, preassembly, and installation of various
plumbing systems or components.
- Reviews blueprints, building codes, or specifications to determine work details or procedures.
- Performs skilled technical work in the installation, repair, replacement, and maintenance of
domestic water systems, heating systems, sewer systems, gas pipe, steam pipes, and other
plumbing fixtures.
- Assembles and installs pipe sections, fittings, valves, and fixtures using various techniques and
tools.
