HVAC Service Manager
Salary: $100,000 - $140,000.00
As the HVAC Service Manager, you will play a crucial role in connecting our administrative operations with our field teams. Your main responsibility will be to ensure that we consistently provide exceptional service and customer satisfaction. You will oversee the daily operations, including managing service requests, setting pricing, and collaborating with the General Manager to develop strategies for our technicians. Above all, you will be the advocate for our customers, leading your team to exceed their expectations.
In this position, you will report directly to the General Manager and oversee the dispatch, procurement, and client services teams. You will also work closely with the field operations leaders to ensure the seamless execution of our strategies.
- Championing Customer Relationships
Maintain consistent and transparent communication with clients to ensure their needs are met promptly.
Uphold high-quality standards by monitoring first-time-fix rates, compliance with customer SLAs, and overall service excellence.
- Driving Operational Excellence
Coordinate with Dispatch, Warehouse & Procurement, and Technicians to ensure accurate and timely assignment of work orders.
Oversee technician performance, including uniform compliance, job cleanliness, van inspections, and adherence to safety protocols.
Monitor warehouse operations to ensure efficient inventory management and procurement processes.
- Leading & Mentoring Your Team
Collaborate with Lead Technicians to create on-call schedules that provide consistent coverage.
Conduct weekly team meetings to update the team on company matters, discuss safety topics, and encourage open discussions.
Recruit, interview, and hire Technicians and other operations roles to maintain our culture of excellence.
Provide coaching and mentorship to team members, offering constructive feedback, motivation, and clear guidance on company standards.
Collaborate directly with the General Manager to align operational strategies with company goals.
Introduce and implement new ideas, ensuring company-wide adoption and compliance.
Continuously seek opportunities to enhance service processes and project delivery to strengthen our position in the market.
- Additional Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with all environmental and industry regulations, including maintaining EPA 608 certifications for refrigerant handling.
Address evolving business needs and customer requests as they arise.
Experience & Education:
At least 10 years of experience in HVAC and refrigeration services, with previous roles in service management or operations management.
In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, refrigeration equipment, and project scope management.
EPA 608 certification or equivalent.
Technical & Leadership Proficiency:
Proficiency in Outlook, Excel, and Word.
Proven ability to manage teams, lead meetings, and ensure compliance with company strategies.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, comfortable interacting with internal teams and external clients.
Strong sense of accountability, with a passion for supporting your team's success.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to work in extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, wind, rain).
Ability to climb a 25ft ladder and work at various heights when necessary.
