Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Electrician to oversee electrical installations and maintenance on construction sites. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical systems, including high and low voltage applications, and will demonstrate expertise in blueprint reading and schematic interpretation. As a Lead Electrician, you will be responsible for ensuring that all electrical work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Managing projects: Planning, scheduling, and assigning projects, and ensuring they are completed on time and within budget
- Providing guidance: Training and mentoring electricians, and providing technical support
- Ensuring safety: Demonstrating safety leadership and ensuring compliance with safety rules
- Maintaining quality: Ensuring work meets standards and is executed efficiently
- Coordinating with others: Working with vendors, contractors, and other divisions
- Performing electrical work: Installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems, including wiring, fixtures, and control devices
- Reading drawings: Interpreting electrical code and drawings to determine wiring layouts
- Troubleshooting or Repair: Identify and fix electrical problems, such as faulty components or wiring
- Testing: Use testing devices to ensure electrical systems are installed and operating properly
- Customer service: Greet clients, address customer concerns, and make emergency repair calls
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an electrician with a strong understanding of logic controllers and electrical systems.
- Proficiency in using power tools, voltmeters, ohmmeters, and other relevant equipment.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately.
- Knowledge of high voltage systems as well as low voltage applications is essential.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a logical approach to troubleshooting electrical issues.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively lead a team and interact with other trades on-site.
- Valid electrician's license or certification is preferred.
- Previous experience in a construction site environment is highly desirable.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
