Building Automation Technician/Programmer
This role requires expertise in system startups, programming review, and performance optimization to ensure operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will provide direct, on-site client support and maintain thorough project documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct field-based QA/QC assessments of mechanical system installations, ensuring compliance with project specifications.
Assist in the startup of major mechanical systems, collaborating with factory technicians to confirm proper functionality.
Review programming and operational sequences to verify proper implementation within the Building Automation System (BAS).
Perform programming for supported BAS platforms, troubleshoot network and IT-related issues, and provide internal and external technical support.
Assist in the development and maintenance of engineering libraries, programming procedures, and system standards.
Travel to various job sites, including out-of-state locations, to oversee projects through critical milestones.
Qualifications & Experience:
At least two years of experience in HVAC programming, with certifications in Niagara N4 and/or AX preferred.
Proficiency in Niagara N4 & AX is preferred.
Hands-on experience with multiple BAS platforms, including LON, BACnet, and Modbus.
Strong background in HVAC mechanical systems
Ability to interpret and apply control schematics and sequence diagrams.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with various control system manufacturers such as Honeywell, Alerton, Johnson, Siemens, Andover, Circon, and Automated Logic.
Strong analytical and communication skills to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
