F.W. Webb, Northeast’s largest wholesale distributor of plumbing, heating, HVAC and industrial supplies is seeking a full-time Fabrication Manager for it's Canton, MA location.
Responsibilities:
- Scheduling and managing flow of work going through Pipe shop
- Coordinating receivables, material handling and shipping of material and product being sold to customers.
- Participating in the interviewing, hiring and recruiting of shop workers
- Supervise and coordinate activities of assigned craft workers.
- Interpret specifications, drawings and job orders as needed for area of supervision.
- Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.
- Studies schedules and estimate worker-hour requirements for completion of job.
- Maintains time records and coordinates schedules. May, upon employer's authorization, make cost estimates for contracts
Qualifications:
- Work within precise limits of standards and accuracy
- Ability to multi-task and work with changing priorities
- Working knowledge of characteristics of steel pipe and related products used in the industry.
- Familiarity with lay-out and design techniques
- Ability to read and interpret blue prints, sketches or product specifications
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Prior supervisory experience

Pay: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
