Job Overview The R. F. Fager Company, the leading wholesaler and distributor of Plumbing and HVAC products in Central PA and Northern, MD is growing! We have an outstanding, ground floor opportunity, for a Warehouse Manager at our new Rockville, MD location.
You will be responsible for managing the daily activities of the warehouse, ensuring efficient and effective processes in supply chain management, logistics, and inventory control. This role requires strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of warehouse operations to optimize productivity and maintain high standards of safety.
Duties
- Oversee all aspects of warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, inventory control, and production planning.
- Manage supply chain activities to ensure timely delivery of products and materials.
- Coordinate transportation management to optimize fleet utilization and logistics efficiency.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular audits to ensure stock accuracy.
- Lead and mentor warehouse staff, fostering a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Develop operational strategies that enhance productivity while maintaining quality standards.
- Collaborate with other departments to align warehouse operations with overall business objectives.
Experience
- Proven experience in supply chain management or operations management within a warehouse environment.
- Strong knowledge of shipping/receiving processes, inventory control systems, and logistics operations.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and drive performance improvements.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve problems effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- You must have an understanding of the plumbing and heating field along with a demonstrated history of management and leadership experience. Industry product knowledge and computer skills are essential. Previous wholesale distribution experience is desirable.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
