Are you looking for a career that will pay you what you are really worth? Are you making less than $30 an hour now? Heating and Air Conditioning might be for you.
Read this through carefully to the end. Since this is an offer for employment after completing an 8-week training, your first test begins right here.
A Tech with 2 to 5 years of experience in air conditioner repair in Las Vegas, can make $60,000 to $100,000 per year. No matter where you live in the USA there will always be a need for indoor temperature comfort. And they will always pay well for it.
We hire seasoned technicians all year long but only train new techs once a year. On the 3rd of March 2025, we will begin the training for new recruits to work as AC Technicians in our company. There are a total of 32, 3 – 3 hour classes. We do not charge for the training. You will learn everything you need to know about residential AC systems including how to diagnose and repair them. You will not learn about furnaces, boilers, or refrigerators in this class. That comes later. The training will be hands-on from day 1. When you complete the training you will go to work meeting with customers, diagnosing and repairing air conditioners.

The Skills We Are Looking For
- Good with your hands.
- Good with people
- Personable
- Honest
Experience
Though we are not requiring for HVAC experience or training, we are looking for a 10-year history of work experience. A combination of employment that involved customer service and working with your hands would be great.
It’s not easy
This is the hardest job you will ever have. It is over 125 degrees on the roof. It is over 130 in the attic. You will spend more than half your day in these 2 environments. Around half of those that start an HVAC career quit by July because they can not handle the heat. Everything you touch is sharp, hot, and electrically charged. Some customers will not trust you based on an experience they had with another AC tech. In the end, your job is to not only restore cold air but to convince them that you are the right person to pay to do that. This can be harder than the actual repair. (Thus the need for People Skills)
In short… Wimps need not apply!
The good news is your customers will love you. I have never felt so much gratitude from a customer as when that cold air starts blowing out the duct. I have literally witnessed tears of gratitude from many customers. Not to mention some fat tips and one offer to have my baby.
90% of the time you are working alone. There is no one else to pick up the slack.
The students that complete our 8-week training will be given a van stocked with parts and sent out into Las Vegas and Henderson to save the day and help people bring comfort back there homes.
For 8 years we have trained new technicians to work at our company. Some have paid as much as $15k to schools. Though I believe there is value in the schools I will tell you it will have no bearing on your success. 7 out of 10 of my highest-earning techs here did not attend technical school training. They started their education in our classroom and did not have “Certified” or “Accredited” AC training.
If you have been to school, you may feel that you are ready to diagnose and repair air conditioners. Experience tells me that this is rarely the case. But we do offer an opportunity to test out of the class and jump-start your career.
Who we are looking for?
The story of Bob. Bob was the smartest HVAC tech I have ever known. He was dedicated and never said no to even the dirtiest jobs assigned to him. Bob who had done HVAC for 8 years was not able to communicate well with customers. Despite all his talent and experience, he was not good with people. His employment here was short-lived.
The Story of Mark. Mark was a good, honest, look-you-in-the-eye, friendly kind of guy. Though he had never worked in HVAC before, he had a 15-year history of service jobs where he had to interact with customers all the time. After 8 weeks of in-class training, he started meeting with customers to restore cold air to their homes. He made a few mistakes along the way but owned them and learned from them. Within 3 years, he became the most requested HVAC tech and highest earner.
Just the Facts:
We do not charge for the Class. Some men and women will pay $12000 to $18,000 to go to air conditioning schools and hope they find work after. We are training you to work for our company, so we do not charge for the training. The only investment for you is a few hundred dollars in tools that you may already have. Upon completion of the class, you will be offered immediate employment.
You will not be paid to go to class.
At your face-to-face interview, you will be asked to; take an extension ladder off a van, carry it 100 feet, set it and climb 27 feet to get on a roof. Then put it back on the van. It is a pass-or-fail test. This is mandatory since you will be doing this all the time.
You will get your hands dirty on the very first day of class. This is hands-on learning along with video study.
Having a degree/certificate from a technical AC school will not improve your chances of being trained and hired.
You will work by yourself 95% of the time. No room for slackers.
You will need an EPA certification that we will prepare you for at the end of the training. The test is simple and you will pass it.
Criminal Record – Drug Test – Driving Record
If you have been convicted of stealing in the last 5 years This is not the place for you. If you have been convicted of a violent crime in the last 3 years I doubt we can hire you. Everything else is open for discussion.
We background check everyone yearly or when there is suspicion to do so. It takes 4 to 6 weeks to get it back. We have had people go through the training only to come out the other side without a job because they thought we would not find out. It’s better to disclose upfront
You will be drug tested.
A clean driving record is a must. If you have had any MAJOR violations in the last 3 years, odds are, we can not get you insured. Same for accidents. a fender bender may be okay but a major accident will likely not fly.
The class schedule is Monday through Thursday from 5:30 pm to 9 pm approximately.
