Vice President of Development
The VP of Development oversees strategic annual fundraising, ensuring goals and growth are met. They deliver exceptional service to donors, collaborating with fundraising, marketing, program staff, and leadership to identify funding priorities, cultivate donors, and execute stewardship strategies.
This position is full-time with opportunities to for a hybrid work schedule. Applicants must live locally and have flexibility to work occasional nights and weekends leading up to major campaigns and events.
AGE’s Development Department plays a crucial role in securing funding and support to sustain and grow the organization's mission and programs. This department is responsible for planning and implementing fundraising strategies, cultivating relationships with donors and supporters, managing fundraising campaigns and events, and analyzing fundraising data to measure success and inform future strategies.

What we’re looking for:
· 4–5 years of fundraising experience, including 1–2 years in a managerial role
· Proven track record in grant writing, major gift solicitation, and donor relations
· Experience planning large-scale events and executing multi-channel marketing strategies
· Skilled in donor-centered fundraising and stakeholder relationship-building
· Knowledge of nonprofit trends, processes, and ethics
· Familiarity with donor management databases preferred
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Fundraising & Budget Oversight: Work with the Chief Development Officer (CDO) to create and monitor department budgets, manage annual giving funds, and produce weekly/monthly fundraising reports.
Campaigns & Events: Plan and execute annual fundraising campaigns and events, manage sponsorship benefits, and ensure thoughtful stewardship and communication plans for donors.
Volunteer Program: Oversee volunteer recruitment, coordination, and tracking; create customized opportunities for individuals and groups, and foster volunteer stewardship.
Donor & Stakeholder Relations: Communicate regularly with donors (invoices, pledge reminders, acknowledgments), solicit major gifts from individuals/corporations/funders, and represent AGE at corporate and community events.
Data & Financial Management: Maintain the organization’s CRM database in collaboration with the Development Admin. Assistant; reconcile development-related accounts receivable.
Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and coach Resource Development staff, ensuring goals are met and organizational objectives are achieved.
Grant Support: Contribute to grant application writing, reporting, and compliance.
Strategic Initiatives & Redundancy: Develop digital solicitation and stewardship content, implement new donor acquisition/retention strategies, and step in for the CDCO as needed.
Organizational Knowledge & Confidentiality: Maintain a broad understanding of AGE programs and funding priorities and uphold strict confidentiality regarding donor and client information.
