Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Facility Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance and repair operations of our steel fabrication facility in Clackamas. This individual will be responsible for ensuring that all equipment, systems, and facilities operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will bring a proactive approach to maintenance, a strong commitment to safety, and a focus on minimizing downtime and operational costs.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Facility Maintenance:
- Develop, implement, and oversee the facility's preventative maintenance program.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance in areas such as electrical, HVAC, plumbing, overhead cranes, A/C units, lighting, alarm system, etc. Ensure these systems are fully functioning/operational in order to maintain production workflow.
- Ability to prepare facility during seasonal times (especially around Winter and Summer peak months) Respond promptly to urgent repair needs to minimize disruptions to operations.
- Interface with third party vendors when need be.
2. Equipment Maintenance:
- Maintain and repair fabrication equipment, such as welders, CNC machines, presses, forklifts, and other machinery.
- Collaborate with production teams to schedule equipment servicing and reduce downtime.
- Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate with vendors for parts procurement.
3. Safety Compliance:
- Ensure all maintenance activities meet OSHA and company safety standards.
- Regularly inspect equipment for safety hazards and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Maintain safety records and prepare for inspections and audits.
4. Stormwater Conservation
- Develop a Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP)
- Implement Best Management Practices which include good housekeeping, erosion and sediment control, spill prevention and response, and employee training.
5. Budget and Planning:
- This role will be expected to monitor expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of one year of experience in facility or equipment maintenance.
- Experience in a manufacturing or steel fabrication environment is highly preferred.
Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Certifications such as CFM (Certified Facility Manager), OSHA safety certifications, or equivalent are a strongly preferred.
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with cross-functional teams and vendors.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions:
- Work is performed in an industrial setting with exposure to noise, heat, and machinery.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and operate machinery as needed.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
