We are currently seeking a Director of Facilitiesat our Houston – Woodway community. In this role, you will be responsible for the overall physical plant operations of The Tradition. These responsibilities involve accountability for maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents and staff. This is accomplished by having a working knowledge of all building systems and equipment and related code requirements, including fire protection and security, structural, HVAC, electrical and landscape. Additional duties will include hiring, supervising, training, team member motivation, purchasing and budget compliance, service quality and timeliness, environment quality and atmosphere, vendor, resident, and guest relations and communication. The Director of Facilitiesreports directly to our Executive Director who oversees day to day operations of the community.
Responsibilities
- Property Maintains physical plant common, apartment and exterior spaces
- Prepares and keeps accurate preventative and corrective maintenance logs
- Maintains property equipment in safe and working order
- Service Responds timely to resident, family or team member requests
- Works creatively with operations team to drive ancillary revenues
- Maintains positive customer service environment for move-ins
- Revenue tracking – special projects, additional maintenance services, etc.
- Expense tracking – spend down system Inventory management Preventative and Corrective
- Maintenance – schedules, logs, histories, etc.
Required
- At least two years of maintenance experience in senior living, apartment or hotel environment or equivalent experience and education.
- Knowledge of systems such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical including EPA Certification for Freon recovery.
- Possesses strong basic handyman skills.
- Possesses a basic understanding of fire and life safety codes.
- Possesses demonstrated ability to operate power tools and equipment.
- Ability to operate power tools and equipment.
- Ability to effectively read, write and communicate in English.
- Ability to direct, supervise and coordinate the work of others and motivate for positive performance.
- Possesses sound organizational and time management skills.
- Possesses good judgment, problem solving and decision making skills.
- Ability to utilize the computer and related software programs.
