Maintenance Technician - Highland Park

Silverside is an established property management company with approximately 1200 apartment homes under management in Southeast Michigan, especially the Detroit Metro. We pride ourselves on doing things the right way the first time.
Responsibilities:
We are looking for an experienced and reliable maintenance / trades professional that enjoys fixing things the right way and is passionate about maintaining the physical aspects of the apartment properties.
Job Duties Include:
- Complete common repairs that occur in apartment properties which span across many trades such as plumbing, light electrical, carpentry, painting on occasion.
- Maintain cleanliness of grounds and common areas when necessary
- Plan and prepare apartments for rent as they come available. Coordinate with painting, flooring and cleaning vendors to complete turns quickly.
- Maintain and purchase materials needed to efficiently address common maintenance work.
- Maintain tools needed to efficiently address common work performed.
- Daily building inspections / visits
- Reporting with central office regularly
- Responding to emergencies
- Obtaining / coordinating with vendors as necessary for special repairs, and large scale projects
Qualifications:
-Drivers License
-Reliable transportation
-Previous apartment maintenance experience, or other related field of work
-Strong communication skills
-Set of personal/basic tools to be used on the job. Special tools to be provided
-Any trades qualifications are a bonus
