Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems, with experience in both commercial and industrial settings. This role requires proficiency in reading schematics, working with logic controllers, and utilizing various hand tools. The Journeyperson Electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and renovating electrical systems to ensure safety and compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC).
Duties
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial environments.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine the layout of electrical systems.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues using tools such as an Ohmmeter and other diagnostic equipment.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople to complete renovation projects efficiently.
- Ensure all work complies with NEC standards and local regulations.
- Perform routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential hazards or necessary repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
Qualifications
- Valid Journeyperson Electrician license or equivalent certification.
- Proven experience as a commercial electrician or industrial electrician.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, NEC regulations, and safety practices.
- Familiarity with logic controllers and their applications in electrical systems.
- Ability to read and understand schematics effectively.
- Proficient in using hand tools and power tools related to electrical work.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
