INTERVIEW SELECTION PROCESS: The selection process may include one or more components to demonstrate applicants’ knowledge, skills and abilities in job related areas. These may include exercises such as practical demonstrations, written communications, oral interviews and/or competency assessments.
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent is required. Candidate is required to complete 24 months specialized formal training in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning), or an apprenticeship in area of specialty. Candidate must have the skill and ability to use a variety of tools and test equipment. Two and one-half years of journeyman level experience in the repair and maintenance of heating, ventilation and air conditioning and related equipment required. Must have a current, valid State of Georgia issued CDL license (Class A) or current, valid State of Georgia issued Commercial Driver Learner’s (CDL) Permit (Class A). Individuals hired with a valid State of Georgia issued Commercial Driver Learner’s Permit, must obtain a valid State of Georgia issued Commercial Driver’s License (Class A) within three (3) weeks of their date of hire.

Summary:
Inspects, repairs, and maintains the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems using preventive and corrective maintenance procedures to ensure systems and equipment are operating properly. Uses a variety of tools and test equipment such as volt-ohmmeters, ammeters, gage sets, vacuum pumps, megohmmeters, phase rotation meters, electronic halogen leak detectors, tube benders, swaging and flaring tools, and other hand and power tools associated with a complete electrical and mechanical repair. Performs special projects, to include installation of major heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. Troubleshoots, repairs and/or replaces Tunnel Fan equipment as required to resolve Buildings & Support Equipment SCADA issues.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS;
A minimum of two years driving experience. A maximum of one (1) moving violation, with a maximum of three (3) points on Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) within a 24 month period. No DUI violations allowed.
