Education
High school diploma or the equivalent.
May be responsible for one or more of the following: plumbing, electrical, HVAC, chillers, pumps, fan coil units, etc.
Ensures compliance with all safety, health and building codes.
Performs preventive maintenance duties including changing filters, oiling motors, replacing light fixtures, and all annual inspections as directed by manufactures,
Documents and reports activities to supervisor bringing special attention to any weak areas.
Responds immediately to emergency situations and all guest concerns.

Must have the ability to move in and out of every area in the hotel/casino. Physical requirements include stooping, standing, climbing and frequent lifting of a minimum of 50 pounds of equipment and ability to safely install rigging/lifting devices. May be only maintenance staff member on duty during certain shifts. Work may require on call duties.
Specialized Work Experience
Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent.
Experience in reading, interpreting and following general engineering drawings, schematics and specifications as well as manufactures instructions. This is normally acquired through three to five years of experience in commercial property maintenance and/or a Journeyman or Master Electrician License certificate.
Training and/or experience in the following areas: HVAC, Asbestos Abatement Procedures, EPA Regulations, OSHA Regulations, and AutoCad Certification.
