Journeyman Plumber Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyman Plumber to join our team. The ideal candidate will
have a strong background in plumbing installations, repairs, and maintenance, with expertise in

Responsibilities:
● Ensure all plumbing work meets local building codes and safety standards.
● Keep detailed logs of work performed and materials used.
● Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
● Uphold professional communication and collaboration with team members and clients.
Construction Expertise:
● Skilled in the construction or renovation of buildings, utilities, and infrastructure for
commercial and residential projects.
● Successfully installed plumbing systems for commercial construction projects.
● Installed cast iron, ABS, and PVC pipes for drains, sewer waste, and vent lines using
basic hand tools.
● Cut openings in floors, walls, and structures to accommodate pipes and pipe fittings
using hand and power tools.
● Installed fresh air and ventilation systems, hot/cold water supply lines, and waste and
drainage systems.
● Assembled and installed pipes, fittings, and fixtures for heating, water, and drainage
systems.
Technical Knowledge:
● Familiarity with methods, procedures, materials, and equipment used in the plumbing
trade.
● Expertise in building codes and regulations related to plumbing.
● Skilled in operating and maintaining tools and equipment for plumbing tasks.
● Knowledge of proper equipment and material storage methods.
● Proficient in techniques for routing and testing plumbing lines.
● Understanding of principles for providing work direction and ensuring job site safety.
Abilities:
● Read and interpret diagrams, blueprints, sketches, and specifications.
● Determine priorities and manage work efficiently.
● Follow oral and written instructions accurately.
● Maintain accurate records of time, work performed, and materials used.
● Adhere to safety standards and best practices to ensure compliance with plumbing
codes.
Tools Required:
● Hand tools: tape measure, level, channel locks, crescent wrench, and 6-in-1 screwdriver.
● Power tools: cordless saws and drills.
● Specialized tools: torches and equipment for drain, water, and fixture installations.
