General Description of Position:
We are seeking a detail-oriented, hardworking, and reliable candidate to join our team. Reporting to the Director of Site Operations, this role is responsible for maintaining a safe, secure, and comfortable environment within the building. The candidate will work closely with the maintenance, landscaping, security, and janitorial teams to ensure the facility remains operational, clean, and compliant with all safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Property Maintenance and Repairs
- Ensure the building is compliant with current safety regulations and procedures
- Identify and report maintenance issues, ensuring timely resolution
- Oversee routine maintenance tasks, (e.g. HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.)
- Maintain community curb appeal by walking/inspecting property, continually inspect property and improvements, recording deficiencies and taking the necessary action, within budgetary allocations and approvals
- Maintain inventory of building furniture, supplies and equipment
- Maintain clothing closet operations and its volunteer engagement
2. Safety and Security
- Implement and enforce safety procedures and emergency protocols
- Manages the opening and closing of the facility daily
- Support emergency preparedness and response efforts
- Ensure that fire alarms, sprinklers, and security systems are operational
- Respond to and manage building-related emergencies (e.g., floods, power outages, security breaches)
3. Legal Compliance
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including zoning, child care center licensing, fire, and safety codes
- Stay up to date on legal and industry regulations affecting the property
4. Vendor & Contract Management
- Source, vet, and manage third-party service providers; such as cleaning services, pest control, and landscaping
- Negotiate contracts to reduce costs while maintaining quality service
- Oversee the work performed by third-party vendors to ensure quality and timely completion
- Oversee the setup of the event space and other areas for usage
5. Administrative Duties
- Maintain records of inspections, repairs, cleaning and maintenance schedules
- Assist with daily operational needs as assigned by the Director of Site Operations
- Operate within budget and purchasing guidelines. Work within the budget and notify the Director of Site Operations of any possible variations
- Provide customer service by resolving any issues that may occur and ensuring maintenance completes service requests. Ensure that all maintenance requests are handled on an immediate basis, if possible and that there is communication to appropriate team members if there must be a delay
Skills Required:
- Time management
- Strong Microsoft Office, communication, and organizational skills
- Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems to oversee maintenance and repairs
- Understanding health, safety, and environmental regulations, including fire safety, building codes, and accessibility standards
- Ability to manage cleaning, waste disposal, and groundskeeping services
- Familiarity with building management systems, smart building technology, and property management software
- Ability to negotiate and manage contracts with service providers, suppliers, and contractors
- Ability to maintain records for inspections, permits, warranties, and service agreements
Skills Preferred:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree
- At least 3 years of experience in building management
Certificates/Licenses preferred, but not required:
- HVAC Certification
- Electrical Contractor License
- Plumbing License

Pay: $50,000.00 - $54,000.00 per year
