Position Summary:

The Maintenance Lead Technician oversees the day-to-day maintenance and repair operations of the organization s facilities, equipment, and machinery through planning, coordinating, and directing all maintenance activities to ensure machine reliability and minimize unexpected downtime.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Motivating, supporting and providing guidance to maintenance staff
Ensuring all safety and health standards are met to keep an organization accident-free.
Communicating regularly with upper management regarding problems or issues impacting production
Evaluating machine resources to ensure continued production and minimal downtime.
Ensure that spare parts, components, and tools needed for maintenance are always available by ordering, forecasting, and monitoring material inventories.
Establishing a balance between increased productivity and reduced costs of manufacturing operations
Develop, implement, monitor, and optimize the organization s maintenance management plan in accordance with its goals to improve uptime and minimize costs.
Developing workflow policies and procedures that improve efficiency without compromising safety or quality.
Hire, train, and evaluate maintenance workers; monitor workers to ensure they meet performance and safety requirements.
Direct corrections (corrective action) of any maintenance or manufacturing problems that may arise; work with Compliance Manager in development and implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

Minimum Requirements:

Requires a high school diploma/GED and completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience.
5 years experience in Industrial Maintenance, Including knowledge of hydraulic, electrical controls, power transmission components and experience in maintaining machinery, manufacturing with high-speed automation equipment, or peripheral equipment utilized in assembly are preferred.
Strong hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, mechanical and industrial skills with some PLC experience and HVAC helpful .
Must be highly motivated and able to work independently.
Willing and Able to work any shift
Must have a valid Texas Driver’s license and a good driving record
Must be able to lift 50 lbs and the ability and willingness to stand or walk during entire shift while working in moderate to noisy manufacturing environment
Good oral and written communication skills
Maintain a positive and professional attitude
Mechanical aptitude and proven ability to learn mechanical, electrical and material principles

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
