We are seeking a motivated General Manager to join our team. As a Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our restaurant, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining high standards of food quality and cleanliness. You will manage a team of front-of-house and back-of-house staff, handle staffing and training, monitor inventory and cost control, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of restaurant operations, including dining area, kitchen, and bar.
- Ensure excellent customer service by training and motivating staff to provide a positive dining experience.
- Manage and schedule front-of-house and back-of-house staff, ensuring adequate coverage during peak hours.
- Monitor and maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and cleanliness.
- Implement and enforce health and safety protocols, including proper food handling and sanitation procedures.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and control costs by managing portion sizes and minimizing waste.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop and update menus, specials, and promotions.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and special requests, ensuring prompt and satisfactory resolutions.
- Train and develop staff on restaurant policies, procedures, and service standards.
- Maintain accurate records of sales, inventory, and employee performance.
- Collaborate with the management team to develop strategies for business growth and profitability.
Requirements:
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- In-depth knowledge of restaurant operations, including food handling, service standards, and health and safety regulations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
- Proficient in using restaurant management software and computer systems.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Food safety certification and other relevant certifications are preferred.
- Degree or diploma in hospitality or a related field is a plus.
